WHAT A NOTE TO START ON | P1 SERIES #1

As you can guess by the title I’m starting a series. It’ll be the start of a huge mega series documenting the whole experience that is my time as a pharmacy school student.

I [firstly] can’t believe I’m doing this because taking on three years worth of writing is such a commitment. One that has the potential to be an exciting and new side project of mine with emphasis on side hopefully.

[Secondly] I’m not sure where this concept will go and how beefy the content will be from this point forward. Will I post a lot or just a number of times? Will they be long or short "check in" type entries. Will I focus more on advice or experience throughout my journey?

There’s only one way to find out right?

It’s becoming more and more of a shock how I ended up here. I graduated early in March (yes I’m bringing that up again) and for some reason was under the impression that late August would take forever to arrive.

I'd have the time to find a living partner, handle financial aid, handle all my medical requirements, AND PACK ALL OF MY JUNK.

Honestly, packing was a hassle as it has always been from day one traveling between states during my undergrad —the process is probably never going to be meant for me.

Finding a roommate: N/A “no one wants me,” she said jokingly.

In time I know the right roommate will come my way. In fact the perfect one is just working her own kinks out to show up and we’ll be living together with no hitch till the end! I have faith. Until then I'm enjoying my alone time and honestly who knows when this is will happen again.

As I’ve exchanged both my Cali license and plates, gone through my White Coat Ceremony, attended my first week of classes and actually as I’m currently typing this offline with no wifi and saving it to post the next time I visit the library… or a Starbucks…

It’s time to finally take it in

THIS IS HAPPENING

What a note to start on.

I know the road is long and extremely rough. I refuse to underestimate anything.

But with that being said, I’m up for it.

If two years ago you told me this was going to happen I would have cried in disbelief. If I made it through my junior year of undergrad when I was ready to give it all up, I owe it to my heart to keep going.

What a note to start on.

I’m still on this high of excitement I can’t wait for my first successfully completed semester, my first rotation site; throw them at me!

And the best part of all this --having this series will be the ability to look back in the future and marvel at how naive I once was regarding every new step to come.

Aspiring pharmacy students, current medical students, friends, anyone really

Let’s get through this together!
